The Hai-Mushka Schneerson Lyceum pays special attention to educating students in an atmosphere of Jewish values, love for their people, and respect for their spiritual heritage.
We strive for every child to not only know the history and traditions of the Jewish people, but also to feel part of a living Jewish community that continues the centuries-old history and spiritual path.

Our approach

The main thing in studying the ethnocultural heritage of the Jewish people is not only facts and dates, but the values that stand behind them:

  • responsibility,

  • respect for parents, teachers and traditions,

  • the love and unity of the Jewish people,

  • the importance of good deeds and helping others.

What we study

  • The history of the Jewish people - from biblical times to the present day, with an understanding of key events, figures, and stages in the formation of Jewish identity.

  • Traditions and holidays - through interactive lessons, festive events, theatrical performances, creative workshops, and family gatherings.

  • The foundations of Jewish ethics are the concepts of honesty, respect, responsibility, modesty, and mercy in everyday life.

  • Jewish wisdom texts - an introduction to the Torah, Pirkei Avot, sayings of the sages, and moral guidelines.

Practical life of traditions

We believe it is important that knowledge comes to life in everyday life.
Students participate in the celebration of Shabbat, Jewish holidays, charity events, learn to do good, share, and be considerate of others.
Our high school celebrates all Jewish holidays, from Rosh Hashanah to Shavuot. These are special days when the entire high school community comes together to experience the joy, unity, and spiritual depth of each holiday.
The celebrations are accompanied by themed lessons, creative performances, songs, shared meals, and good deeds that help children live in the rhythm of the Jewish calendar.

Our goal

The goal of teaching Jewish traditions and history is to raise educated, responsible, kind individuals who understand their roots, are proud of their heritage, and know how to see the value in every person.
We believe that knowing one's history gives a child strength, confidence, and a spiritual foundation for the future.
