Foreign languages

Language learning is aimed at developing communicative competence, the ability to think in another language and use it in real life.
English
English is mandatory for all students and is taught at a high level.
The goal of the course is to develop confident language skills in all areas of activity: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Modern textbooks from British publishers, interactive platforms, role-playing games, video and audio materials are used.
Students participate in educational projects, theater performances, competitions, and have the opportunity to prepare for international exams (Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS).
French
French is taught as a second foreign language.
The course introduces students to the culture, history, and traditions of France and the French-speaking world.
Special attention is paid to conversational practice, the development of listening skills, and the formation of literate writing.
In classes, students sing French songs, watch videos, read adapted texts, and participate in projects and thematic days of French culture.
Hebrew
Hebrew occupies a special place in the educational process of the lyceum.
It is not just a foreign language, but the language of spiritual heritage, traditions, and modern Israel.
The goal of teaching Hebrew is to create a vibrant language environment in which students can understand, speak, read, and write Hebrew, as well as become aware of its cultural and historical depth.
Our approach to language learning
We view learning foreign languages not as a separate subject, but as a life skill and part of a student's personal development.
Language education is based on the principles of interactivity, intercultural dialogue, and practical orientation.
The main principles of our approach:
Language as living communication. We teach children not just to know words and rules, but to use language in real situations — to speak, listen, write, and think with it.
Respect for culture. Every language is a window into another world. Students are introduced to the culture, history, literature, music, and traditions of the people whose language they are learning.
Modern technologies. Interactive platforms, videos, games, project work, and online communication with native speakers are used in lessons.
Individual approach. We take into account the level of preparation, pace of learning, and interests of each student, creating an atmosphere of support and motivation.
Continuous development. Students gradually move from basic knowledge to fluency in the language, developing their understanding of the world, tolerance, and self-confidence.
Our approach helps to develop not only linguistic skills, but also openness to the world, respect for diversity, and a love of learning.
