On April 27, during a Jewish traditions lesson led by Leah Lazareva, teacher of Ethics and Jewish Traditions, students of the Chaya Mushka Schneerson Lyceum began studying Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers).
Following Passover, special attention is traditionally given to the study of Pirkei Avot, a collection of ethical teachings that helps shape moral values, foster personal growth, and encourage thoughtful interactions with others.
Ahead of Pesach Sheni, the students discussed the concept of a second chance as an important element of personal development. Particular emphasis was placed on the ability to acknowledge and correct one's mistakes, as well as on cultivating tolerance, openness, and a balanced attitude toward others without rushing to judgment.
The topics explored during the lesson contributed to the development of more conscious interpersonal relationships and strengthened the students’ sense of responsibility for their decisions and actions.
