“Linguistic battle” on Ukrainian Writing and Language Day

On October 27, the Humanitarian Lyceum, which is named after Chaya Mushka Schneerson, hosted a "Linguistic Battle." This event was a significant intellectual gathering that brought together students who have a profound passion for the Ukrainian language and are dedicated to exploring its intricacies.

The participants exhibited a remarkable degree of proficiency in the Ukrainian language, engaging in competitions that encompassed wit, rapid thinking, literacy, and the precision of expression. The atmosphere of the event was characterized by a sense of friendly rivalry, positive emotions, and a genuine affection for the native language.

Of particular interest were the contests "Guru of Accents", "Phrase Puzzle" and "Surzhyk Weeds," in which participants demonstrated not only their erudition but also their ability to work in a team.

The event was organized by Ukrainian language and literature teacher Inna Viktorivna Zerkal, who developed a program that was both creative and conducive to the establishment of a warm and friendly atmosphere, thereby facilitating a genuine celebration of language.

At the conclusion of the competition, the jury acknowledged the most active and knowledgeable participants.

Such events have been shown to facilitate the realization among students of the importance of their native language, to cultivate their linguistic culture and interest in learning Ukrainian, and to nurture a sincere sense of pride in their national heritage.
